Growth Habit: Tree

Climate Requirements: Requires a humid tropical climate with high rainfall (1500–2500 mm) and temperatures of 24–32°C.

Soil Requirements: Grows best in deep, well-drained fertile soil with pH 4.5–6.5.

Water Requirements: High water requirements; irrigation necessary in dry regions.

Planting Instructions: Seedlings are transplanted 8–10 months after germination with spacing of 9 meters.

Harvesting Information: Harvested after 3–4 years of planting; peak production occurs in 5–7 years.
